Chicken or Turkey Soup

Simmer your favorite whole bird in salted water until almost done. Cool and remove bones and strain unwanted debris. Add chopped onions, zucchini, kale, spinach, carrots, peas, or other available vegetables and simmer until done. Season with salt and your favorite spices. Try cinnamon, cloves, cayenne pepper, and so forth. Stir in some sour cream or yogurt for a creamy variation.
